Label respooler
In basic operation the unit transfers a label roll web by web onto a second body. The pay-off side releases the carrier strip, the take-up side draws it back on under guidance. This way you swap between inside- and outside-wound bodies, gather leftover rolls anew, or bring labels into the format the downstream label printer or dispenser calls for.
Into a full respooling station we couple the pay-off and take-up sides. Both sides start in step, the label web stays taut over the whole path. Evotec supplies this coupled build to order, either as a compact bench unit or fitted into your existing label-processing run.
Two dancer arms, spring-loaded on each side, offset the shrinking wind diameter and keep the web tension calm, from a full core down to a nearly empty one. You meter the pace sensitively from standstill to full run and set the winding sense at a button. The strong motor with built-in controls leads the strip jolt-free and easy on the labels.
While transferring, every label passes the inspection field in clear view. Misprints, dropped or torn labels show up at once; you stop, work the fault loose, and take the run up again. Only checked, complete label rolls then go on to production or to the customer.
The unit ships plug-ready for 230 V in a heavy-duty aluminium profile. As standard it runs a 76 mm core and 100 mm web width; other cores and widths we make to specification. Special sizes, special builds and the tie-in to existing label lines Evotec carries out itself as the manufacturer.
Drive with full command of the label web
A strong motor draws the labels evenly and gently from the pay-off to the take-up side. You meter the pace sensitively and change the winding sense in mid-run.

Why the Label respooler?
Label web on open view
As the web transfers, the whole strip travels openly along the inspection field. Print faults, gaps and damaged labels stand out, you stop right at the spot and lift the faulty label out.
Master roll up to 500 mm
Roll bodies up to 500 mm outer diameter and 20 kg run safely through the unit. The 76 mm core takes common label formats; differing core sizes we make to your specification.
Winding sense freely chosen
At a touch of a button you decide between inside- and outside-wound take-up. Each label roll thus matches the pay-off direction of the particular dispensing machine exactly.
Live on 230 V at once
Motor and controls already sit inside the housing. Plug into the wall socket, load the label roll, and the rewinding starts with no further installation.
